Before launching Shef Madres, Chef Jennifer Millsap built her culinary career in fast-paced restaurant kitchens, refined her skills as a private chef and meal preparer for professional NBA athletes, and earned a reputation for creating memorable dining experiences with fresh, seasonal ingredients.
When Jennifer took the reins of the well-respected Rossi Catering, she saw an opportunity to honor its legacy while creating something uniquely her own. She reimagined the company as Shef Madres Catering—a name that reflects both her journey as a mother and her belief that exceptional food begins with genuine care, thoughtful hospitality and meaningful connections. -
As a Sacramento native, Jennifer is inspired by Northern California's rich agricultural landscape and the abundance of local farms, ranches and artisan producers.
That connection to the region influences every menu, with seasonal ingredients taking center stage and each event thoughtfully crafted to reflect the tastes, traditions and vision of every client.
Jennifer's personal journey as a cancer survivor also shaped the philosophy behind Shef Madres. It deepened her appreciation for nourishing food, celebrating life's milestones and creating moments that bring people together. Whether catering an elegant wedding, a corporate event, an intimate dinner or a private celebration, Jennifer believes every gathering deserves food that is beautiful, memorable and prepared with purpose.
